Andy Davison - Southwood Hall Wedding Photographer_2158

It’s Monday morning so it must be time for a wedding sneak preview!

So, here we are at the stunning Southwood Hall with the truly lovely Jonathan and Tracey and a very chilled group of close family and friends for a very relaxed and informal wedding (just my kind of day).

Friday delivered a mixed bag of weather but that was never going to prevent these guys from having the best of times.  While I’m always enthusiastic for taking as many photographs of the bride and groom as possible, I’m particularly careful to temper that with the need to be realistic about where I can realistically expect people to go in search of a great backdrop while wearing very expensive wedding dresses and suits – as you’ll see below, I needn’t have worried on this occasion!

I’m not sure how many brides would be willing to  dose up on antihistamine in order to wander deep into wet muddy fields of rapeseed in a stunning wedding dress and immaculate Jenny Packham shoes…………but Tracey and Jonathan were totally up for it! As you’ll see, by the end of the night, they were even willing to stand in the rain to follow some of my crazy suggestions for what might make a cool photograph – I so hope that they’ll reflect that such decisions were worth it when they come to packing away some quite soiled wedding clothes and shoes!

I’ll not bang on about the day but there were so many highlights – a couple briefly reflected below included an amazing wedding cake idea and the brilliant magician Sean Goodman.  Sean is not only a superb magician, he’s also got an amazing way with people and provided some superb entertainment for everyone during the natural lull between wedding breakfast and first dance. The shot of Sean below reflects the amazement and incredible reactions that he gets from everyone who witnesses his work – I’ve not seen magicians at many weddings so far but it’s undoubtedly a cracking idea.  Sean is surely one of the best and well worth looking up if you’re considering hiring someone who’ll keep everyone laughing and hugely entertained.

So, it’s time for a few images.  A big thank you to Jonathan and Tracey for allowing me to be a small part of their day and to all of their friends and family for being so welcoming.  Safe travels on that amazing honeymoon…..many more photographs will greet you on your return 🙂
