ROYAL NORFOLK SHOW 2015 – NORFOLK EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Something completely different today, a break from wedding photography and a candid and hopefully fun look at the brilliant, and absolutely scorching hot, Royal Norfolk Show 2015!
Last year I was fortunate to be asked to join the small team of photographers employed by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) and I was thrilled to be asked back for more of the same for the 2015 Royal Norfolk Show. Joining a superb photography team (captured in all our beauty below!) of James Rouse and Darren Carter of Butterfly Effect Photography and Design for this year’s event, and with superb weather forecast, I knew this was again going to be a highlight of my photography year. Encouraged to capture candid and fun images that really tell the story of this remarkable agricultural show, while attending a few scheduled and more formal photo opportunities, this is the sort of assignment that I enjoy most and definitely brings out the best in photographers.
So, armed with schedules, maps, water, sunscreen, hats and cameras, James, Darren and I walked many miles over the 2 days of the Show trying between us to capture the essence of this enormously diverse, fun and educational event. While the images below are only a small selection of those captured by me, between us we have hopefully armed the wonderful RNAA team with a fairly complete picture of the pleasure their show brought to so many visitors this year and that will encourage more to join them for this great annual event next year. If I wasn’t photographing the Show, I’d certainly be there as a visitor; the diversity of activities is incredible and testament to the phenomenal effort that goes into organising and executing such a successful event year-on-year. Hopefully the images below reflect that and some of the enjoyment that can be had for all ages.
So, I’ll sign off and let a few images paint the picture of the Show from just one photographer’s perspective…..as I type, there’s 355 days to go until the next Royal Norfolk Show and I just know that the RNAA staff will already be working hard to make sure it’s another belter!
