NICOLLE AND MATT – OXNEAD HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Matt and Nicolle’s simply superb Great Gatsby-themed wedding day took place at the majestic Oxnead Hall back in late May at the start of what looked to be a very promising summer. Under clear skies and enjoying perfect summer temperatures, Nicolle and Matt were able to fully enjoy the huge variety that such incredible venues as Oxnead Hall have to offer. From preparation in the newly refurbished main house and cottages, to the ceremony in the beautiful ancient church, to canapes in the immaculate gardens overlooking the lake to an evening of partying in the also transformed barn the day was simply perfect.
If grand houses, landscaped gardens with lakes and bridges and rustic barns and courtyards are your thing, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect and varied wedding venue than this. Oxnead Hall packages all the best things about English weddings into one vast and versatile location and is surely a rising star in the Norfolk wedding venue scene. As a photographer, Oxnead Hall is a great location to work with so much variety, everything on one site and the chance to make every wedding unique with so many picture-perfect spots to take photographs, you could shoot 20 weddings a year here and not deliver 2 images the same.
Matt and Nicolle were also the perfect couple to work with – relaxed, fun-loving and so obviously deeply in love, spending a day with them and their wonderful guests was an absolute pleasure. Nicolle’s wedding dress was amazing and the beam that crossed her face when she first slipped into it never left her face – it’s the reason I’ve selected the main image above as it really summarises the day so well. A bride (and of course groom) so comfortable and happy, in the moment and living life to the absolute full on their wedding day. As you’ll see below, in common with the previous blog, the evening party was pretty epic. Matt and Nicolle like their rock music and the old classics really hit the spot on a packed and manic dance-floor. As I drove home on warm summer evening post-sparkler farewell shot, I simply could not get ‘Summer of ’69’ out of my head!
Enjoy the images 🙂
