MORTON’S EVENT HIRE – NORFOLK COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Something completely different up on the blog today, some marquees fit for a wedding but not actually at a wedding!
A few weeks ago, Simon Dale of Morton’s Event Hire got in touch to see if I’d be interested in helping the company take some fresh images of their fantastic hexagonal marquees and accessories for some new marketing materials and their website. Having met Simon at a wedding-related event a few months ago, and seen the quality of product and service that Morton’s offer, it was a very easy decision!
I won’t list the full range of event services provided by Morton’s Event Hire but suffice to say they’ve got most bases covered. For what turned out to be a series of 3 photo shoots, the focus was on their unique hexagonal marquee ‘pods’ and to capture the various ‘states of dress’ from the bare tents through to the fully lit and lined version ready for a wedding reception or other such evening event. I did also squeeze in a couple of photographs of their new luxury toilets! Hopefully the quality of their offerings is immediately clear from the photographs. Rob and Alex Morton along with Simon Dale (seen below) are a great bunch of guys who take a great deal of pride in their business and are capable of delivering an outstanding bespoke environment for hosting special events. Although the marquees can hold very large events, the open plan nature of the ‘pod’ design makes the environment feel homely and warm and I’m certain would contribute hugely to a fantastic atmosphere. Probably the most significant addition to the night time set-up of these marquees was the dance floor area – Morton’s have created their own ‘star cloth’ to go above the dance floor and it creates a cracking environment for an evening of partying to unfold – definitely an essential addition when booking these marquees for a night event!
Of course, it’s easy to say this having seen at first hand the work that goes into creating such a great environment but I’m particularly looking forward to seeing these facilities in use at a wedding or 2 this year; in fact, while at a wedding consultation at Hockering House on Tuesday, I discovered from the bride Rebecca that Morton’s were indeed providing the marquees for their wedding! Norfolk maybe a large county but the ‘wedding community’ seems quite small at times!
Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing these and many more of the images captured appearing on a re-vamped website and in some new leaflets very soon. A big thanks to Simon, Rob and Alex for asking me to be their photographer and for letting me gain an insight into yet another fantastic local business.
