Something a little different up on the blog today, a few images from a portrait shoot with 2 lovely sisters, Laura and Kerri.
A few weeks ago I joined Laura, Kerri and their dad Kevin to capture a few images that were to be used as a gift for a forthcoming landmark birthday for their mum. Kevin has arranged similar gifts for major birthdays in the past and wanted to provide a proud mum with a memorable record of the development of their beautiful daughters.
Having not undertaken a shoot quite like this one before, I was just a little apprehensive; as it happens, I really needn’t have been. Kevin is a very friendly and kind man and he and his wife have raised 2 equally relaxed and fun-loving daughters. After a few casual shots in Brundle, close to Kevin’s business and using his boat and lovely waterside property as a backdrop, we moved out into the neighbouring countryside and found a stunning field of wild flowers for a second setting that provided some excellent variety.
Very natural and at ease in front of the camera and both looking stunning, we managed to get some nice images of Laura and Kerri that I know their mum is going to have been delighted with. Again, something completely different to wedding photography but a fantastic experience nonetheless and certainly an area of photography that I’d be keen to build upon.
