KAT & COLM ENGAGEMENT SHOOT – NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

26/02/2018

It was back to stunning North Norfolk and Wells-next-the-Sea on Saturday for a second engagement shoot of 2018, this time with the brilliant Kat and Colm who will be getting married at one of my favourite Norfolk wedding venues in April, Hales Hall Barn.  Much like 2 weeks ago, but this time on one of the coldest days this winter, we enjoyed some incredible winter sunlight during a 2-hour walk through stunning woodland and along deserted beach.  With the temperatures so low and the windspeed quite high, we spent a long time in the shelter of the woods and kept things moving throughout!  I do like candid walking and moving shots anyway but it was actually a necessity on Saturday to avoid hyperthermia!

As I think is the case with 99% of people, Kat and Colm regarded themselves as not the best subjects for photography and hence booked a pre-wedding shoot to help them feel more at ease in front of the camera on their wedding day.  As is the case 100% of the time, they really didn’t need to worry – within minutes we were grabbing some great images of the 2 of them enjoying each others company against the most beautiful of Norfolk backdrops.  I hope you’ll agree, they look wonderful together and make a great advert for an outdoor Norfolk lifestyle!

Having now finally spent some time with such a fun, relaxed and friendly couple, I really cannot wait to capture their wedding day in a few weeks’ time.  I’m hoping it’ll maybe be about 20 degrees warmer at Hales Hall on 7th April but I already know we’re going to have a lot of fun on what will be a very special day indeed. The selection below reflects a fraction of the images captured and really is just a sneak peek for Kat & Colm and maybe a great advert for other couples marrying in Norfolk and considering a pre-wedding shoot.  Such shoots are a brilliant way to get to know your photographer a little better, to feel more comfortable and confident in front of the camera, to pick up some tips for looking your best in your photographs on wedding day and of course for getting a selection of nice relaxed candid images with each other in a location of your choosing.  I’m certain that we achieved every one of those goals on Saturday!
