JEN AND MARCUS ELMS BARN WEDDING – NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
So, having just returned from a fantastic half-term week visiting friends and family in Devon, I’ve eagerly headed back to the computer so that I can publish a few images from the most superb of weddings and the first I’ve shot in 2014.
Before I say a little more about this wedding, a huge thank you to Luis Holden for coming along to this wedding and being such a huge help. Luis is an incredible photographer and a great person and having him around to help me out on the first full-day wedding shoot of the year was a massive boost and contributed hugely to the success of the day from a photography perspective. Some of the images below were taken by Luis and many, many more have gone into the final selection for Jen and Marcus.
Jen and Marcus are a fantastic couple and, surrounded by wonderful friends and family, they got married at the stunning Elms Barn on 8th February 2014. Their wedding was as good a proof as you could ever find that it is people that make wedding days and not the weather!
Despite gale-force winds, rain and extremely soggy ground, Marcus, Jen, friends and family made sure that the day went off with a bang, completely unimpeded by the extreme weather. From braving the cold and extremely high winds for some of the group shots, to wading through mud to capture some last light portraits to ducking indoors to light sparklers out of the wind, everyone threw themselves into what was a truly amazing wedding day. There were so many highlights but one of those that will stick with me was the incredible Best Man performance of Alex, playing his speech with his own brilliant version of Romeo and Juliet – just awesome and a great double act to follow on from the other outstanding best man Will. Well done chaps, you’ve set the bar pretty high for the many Best Man speeches that I’ll get to enjoy over the course of this year.
So, with 2 weddings to shoot in March and numbers increasing month-on-month throughout the summer, this first outing of the year proved to be a great start to 2014 and will live long in the memory. Thank you Jen and Marcus for making Luis and I feel so welcome and for allowing us to capture your special day – it was an absolute pleasure and a privilege. I hope your honeymoon in Bulgaria went as well as the big day and that you are now refreshed and enjoying memories of a truly great wedding day.
