ISABEL AND HENRY ENGAGEMENT SHOOT – NORFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

With the wedding season about to get into full swing (2 weddings this weekend to kick things off in style at The Norfolk Mead Hotel and then at Chaucer Barn!) and the weather and light (very!) slowly improving, it’s the time of year for engagement or pre-wedding shoots.  After a delay of a few weeks due to weather, I finally met up with Isabel and Henry in the beautiful seaside village of Walberswick.  What a hidden gem – having visited the far busier but still lovely adjacent Southwold, Walberswick was a real surprise – so close but yet so far from the bustle of the Southwold streets and a great place for a peaceful engagement session on breezy April afternoon.  With the picture-postcard village and riverside as a backdrop we first chatted through wedding plans in the quaint Bell pub before heading out on a stunning walk that took us through woodland, marshes and shingle beach in a perfect circuit of varying backdrops – Walberswick is now definitely on my preferred list for engagement shoots!

Meeting Isabel and Henry for the first time ahead of their June wedding day in Chedgrave and Loddon confirmed immediately that we’d be enjoying a great shoot together and that their wedding day will be a highlight of what promises to be a cracking 2016 season.  Both hugely relaxed and fun, capturing them in surroundings that they love and are special to them both (Henry proposed to Isabel in February 2015 in the spot where the above images was captured on Walberswick beach) was a great fun and exceptionally easy!  As you can see, Isabel and Henry are a gorgeous couple who are clearly made for each other – the first image below, in front of Isabel’s family holiday home, is one of the first that I captured and I think it says all that you need to know about the 2 of them.  With no serious ‘posing’ needed, and absolutely no awkwardness in front of the camera, we cracked straight on chatting and capturing lots of spontaneous fun.

Anyway, I’ll let the images speak for themselves – suffice to say that I cannot wait to capture Isabel and Henry’s Norfolk wedding day in late June.  In fact, finally getting out with the camera in vaguely mild (if windy) weather and had the winter photography cobwebs blown away, this shoot has left me fired up and excited about the forthcoming season.  Bring it on, with so many amazing couples to capture this year I’m itching to get started………from tomorrow with Chantel and James (please weather forecast, improve dramatically for them!).
