“Hi Andy,

I’ve been meaning to email you for a while now to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job. I’ve of course voted for you in the awards, we’ll help and do anything we can do to help get you more recognition for your work.

Talking to our friends and family over these past weeks there’s been a common theme in what they have to say. Everyone has been so complimentary about you and how you seamlessly blended into our day. Thank you so much, you where absolutely amazing. The photographs are perfect, there are some really beautiful ones in there. I hope you enjoyed ourself as much as we did and can take away some memories to keep.

The book you sent us was a wonderful surprise as well, it was a lovely thing to come back of honeymoon to.

Thank you again for everything you have done for us both. You have been brilliant.

All the best.

Jon and Carrie”

A nice early blog sneak peek this week for Caroline and Jon after their amazing wedding day at Hautbois Hall here in rural North Norfolk on Saturday.  With Caroline and Jon heading off on honeymoon imminently, and with me about to be busy shooting the Norfolk Show this week, I thought I’d crack on and get some images edited for them to enjoy as they step onto their aircraft and head off on what sounds like an absolutely incredible holiday.

After a run of wet and semi-wet Saturday weddings, this weekend’s sunshine was long overdue and the setting of Hautbois Hall proved the perfect place to enjoy an absolutely stunning English summer’s day.  With the wedding held on the lawn in front of the gorgeous hall, and surrounded by stunning scenery, it is hard to imagine a more quintessentially English scene – with Pimms served immediately after the ceremony, we really were in English summer wedding heaven.  The day started with a visit to Caroline and Jon’s house for some getting ready snaps before joining Jon, the men and guests at Hautbois Hall.  Caroline chose to travel in a stunning vintage VW camper van which provided some welcome shade for a few photographs after the ceremony.

The rest of the day was spent wandering the gorgeous grounds, gardens and courtyard of the hall in between periods of shade and refreshments in the barn.  Everyone was looked after brilliantly, organised throughout by the excellent Cheryl Beeney.  A really pleasant surprise was also the chance to meet Emma who works at Hautbois Hall and whose wedding I’m booked to photograph on a return visit to this magnificent venue in September.  A big thank you to Cheryl and Emma for looking after me so well and ensuring that I remained hydrated and well-fed throughout a long day – I can’t wait for Emma’s wedding in September 🙂

Anyway, after a rather nice sunset and a visit to the beautiful meadows adjacent to the River Bure, right next to the hall, the excellent Abyss Function and Wedding Band provided a kicking soundtrack to what looked set to be a fantastic party. Departing a full dance floor and grabbing a delicious wood-fired pizza for the journey home, I left knowing that Caroline and Jon had absolutely nailed their wedding day and enjoyed a day that will live long in all of our memories.  Happy honeymoon and safe travels to the both of you.

Feel free to leave your thoughts.
