I have so many weddings queued up from the last couple of years that I want to share but, with my next and first of 2018 at beautiful Hautbois Hall, I thought this would be a great place to head today.
Georgie and Ian enjoyed the perfect Hautbois Hall wedding day last July – a relaxed morning of prep, a dry and warm outdoor ceremony in front of what has to be one of the most attractive country houses in Norfolk and a cracking reception and evening party in the barn. Ian was one of the bravest grooms last year, having not one but 3 Best Men! The bridal party were in fact such a relaxed and fun group, helping to make the day an absolute pleasure to capture and be a small part of. Georgie had her own sizeable contribution to the bridal party with Maid-of-Honour Lorna and 3 bridesmaids and 2 flower-girls. Lorna deserves a very special mention for her incredible work with the flowers – not Lorna’s day job but as good as any that I’ve seen. A very talented lady.
Despite a few drops of rain in the evening (and actually an opportunity to mess around with some umbrellas!), we managed a lovely relaxed walk around the beautiful grounds of Hautbois Hall and into a neighbouring field or 2 for some portraits and quiet time for Georgie and Ian to take in the day’s events.
The soundtrack to an awesome evening party was delivered by the excellent band The Collective, with a packed dance-floor throughout (only partially cleared by the announcement of an evening Hog Roast!).
All-in-all, a wonderful wedding day for 2 lovely people and their great friends and family. As always, a real honour and pleasure to be asked to capture and yet another real highlight of my 2017 wedding season. I’m really looking forward to returning to Hautbois Hall again this year, first up for Katie and Sam’s big day in March. Hautbois Hall is one of my favourite Norfolk venues, not just because it’s beautiful or that it seems to attract very lovely brides and grooms with great visions for their wedding day, but because it has the brilliant Cheryl Beeney and her excellent team overseeing things and looking after everyone so, so well.
So, here are a few images from Georgie and Ian’s own wedding day story – a quintessential Norfolk wedding.
