CYCLE TOUR SERIES EVENT IN AYLSHAM – NORFOLK EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Well, what a buzz in the lovely rural market town of Aylsham this evening (ok, as a resident, I am a little biased!) as Round Ten of The Pearl Izumi Tour Series of elite circuit cycle racing came to town for the first time.
This afternoon and evening saw the town transformed into a highly challenging race circuit for a large group of elite athletes. Cheered on (despite the at times very heavy rain) by crowds listening to high energy music, enjoying a raft of activities and BBQs (in the rain of course) while occasionally taking shelter in local hostelries there was a fantastic energy throughout the town.
There was even the odd celebrity including Mr Nigel Mansell (sorry for making you pose Nigel, but you are pretty big star to people of my generation!) wandering largely unnoticed around the streets. Anyway, hopefully the photos below will tell you a little more about the story of this extraordinary evening in Aylsham – there were one or 2 accidents captured in the images but I’m glad to report that everyone walked away without major injuries.
