I thought I’d share a link to an extremely generous, comprehensive and eloquent article that’s just been published about me and my business – it’s a far better ‘bio’ than I’d have been comfortable writing myself and will provide an excellent starting point for potential clients wanting to know a little more about my business and more importantly about the person behind my cameras. I’ll now await the inevitable deluge of banter from RAF mates!
Alice Barker, the Editor of AMB Weddings contacted me a few weeks ago on the recommendation of another wedding photographer and I was of course delighted and privileged to be invited to feature in her excellent online wedding magazine for the East of England. Alice is an absolutely lovely lady (who incidentally shares a passion for photography, particularly of the macro nature variety) and her relaxed ‘interview technique’ made for a fun and lengthy chat about just about everything and anything. Although I didn’t really notice at the time, she clearly made lots of notes!
Alice’s vision for her business is to find and champion regional wedding suppliers in the same way that Rick Stein has done for his series on ‘Food Heroes’. What’s particularly great about AMB Weddings is the personal approach and Alice’s passion for getting to know the people behind the businesses – writing such detailed articles that go way beyond the standard marketing spiel is a great way to help brides and grooms find exactly the right supplier for them and of course will help suppliers in turn find clients that are a good fit for them. It’s a win-win and I’m made up that Alice chose to include me on her website.
Anyway, finally the link and a photograph to prove that I’m no longer in uniform and that I’m occasionally not behind the camera or posing for a profile shot! What is rare of course is a photograph where all 4 of us are included…..on this occasion it was my wife Pauline on camera duty.
